Position: Investment Intern

Location: Wan Chai

Duration: 2-3 months

Reports to: Portfolio Manager / Senior Analyst

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Investment Intern to join our team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the family office industry, working closely with seasoned investment professionals. The intern will contribute to the investment process by conducting research, analyzing financial data, and assisting in the development of investment strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive research on companies, industries, and macroeconomic trends to support informed investment decisions.

• • Analyze financial statements, valuation metrics, and market data to evaluate potential investment opportunities.

• • Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models, including DCF analysis, comparable company analysis, and scenario modeling.

• • Monitor portfolio positions and market movements, providing timely and actionable updates to the investment team.

• • Create polished presentations and detailed reports summarizing research findings and investment recommendations.

• • Collaborate cross-functionally on strategic projects to optimize the investment process.

• • Track market trends, economic indicators, and geopolitical developments that could impact investment strategies.

• • Assist in preparing product due diligence materials for the investment team’s review.

• • Draft weekly market house views and investment memos based on current financial conditions.

• • Attend weekly investment meetings and prepare comprehensive minutes documenting key discussions and decisions.

• • Conduct specialized research on hedge funds, structured products, and alternative investment vehicles.

• • Participate in simulated trading exercises to develop practical portfolio management skills.

• • Support the development of investment presentations for client and internal meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field (undergraduate or graduate level).

• • Exceptional analytical and quantitative abilities, with a thorough understanding of financial concepts and valuation methodologies.

• • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial databases (e.g., Bloomberg, FactSet).

• • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, capable of articulating complex financial concepts clearly and persuasively.

• • Meticulous attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• • Genuine passion for financial markets and investing, demonstrated through a proactive, intellectually curious approach.

• • Previous internship experience or relevant coursework in finance, investment banking, or asset management is highly desirable.
